Fender THE STRAT 1980 Candy Apple Red VINTAGE GUITAR

Always wanted a vintage Fender Stratocaster?...Here is your opertunity at an affordable price! PROTOTYPE Fender "THE STRAT" USA 1979-80...This has a 1979-80 Serial number. Made at the FENDER Fullerton plant1980.Pots date it to 1980 so the guitar was most likely made in 1979 put together in 1980 but it is a PROTOTYPE or demo for the AUSTRALIAN Market and dealers...there are only a handfull of these world wide...There is one is mention at "Premier Guitar" with photos ( link below) and also "Collectable Strats"...It features the Gold plated 22 carat 100 microns thick.. Gold Fender USA stamped bridge that was only used on the prototype.. The production model had the large brass bridge with the Fender stamp..It also only three holes drilled in back of the body for the back plate but the other three are factory marked for drilling..AMAZING! Thats evidence of just how fast Fender wanted these guitars in the dealers hands worldwide.. (Factory prototypes also came in White with Italian Tortoise Shell pickguard).Everything works. It comes with original Fender Moulded case used working condition has had previous owners initials painted on  in about 10cm font can be removed. (Same case as the 25th year Silver Anniversary model).The Gold has worn away on neckplate and on the knobs due to use..All electronics are original...the X1 pickup has different colour wires Red White...instead of Yellow Black. .but its the original to the guitar even though the top of the magnets are flat and dont protrude the pickup case.The Rosewood fretboard has had some extra rounding of the edges higher around 12 to 21st fret... MY 2001 American Strat weighs 3.7kgs this guitar is 4.65kgs. New D'ADARRIO 11's setup and intonation done.I comes with non original Fender Gold plate tremolo arm..THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE GUITAR...A nice old piece of Fender history.. ...THIS WOULD BE AN IDEAL AFFORDABLE COLLECTORS GUITAR IN THAT IT IS ONE OF ONLY A HANDFULL AROUND THE WORLD.
