The Ludwig AVH LM402 Limited Edition is a highly collectible 6.5" x 14" artist signature snare drum released in 2017 in a limited run of 200 units worldwide. Designed with Alex Van Halen's drum tech, John Douglas, it replicates Alex’s personal touring snare (the iconic Ludwig LM402) but features a customized, hand-ground metal shell and copper-plated hardware.Key Features and SpecificationsShell: 1.7mm seamless beaded aluminum, hand-ground by John Douglas.Hardware: Custom copper-plated die-cast hoops, classic tube lugs, and a P86 throw-off.Heads & Wires: Remo Emperor X batter head with the Van Halen logo and specialized 42-strand snare wires.Extras: Each drum is individually signed by Alex Van Halen on the inside and includes a Certificate of Authenticity, a commemorative 24-karat gold-plated Van Halen drum key, an AVH poster, and a custom Anvil hard case with blue velour lining.
