Gibson ES-355 1966 Cherry Red

This Gibson ES-355 was made in the USA in 1966. Although it is a good player, it is in rough shape. It looks to have been completely oversprayed.  The work is not professional quality, although the color itself is nice. Most of the parts are not original.  The guitar has been refretted.  The pickups are 70's Gibson Tarbacks that sound good. The pickguard looks to be original although the pickup cutouts are slightly enlarged. Everything else is not original. It looks to have had P-90 pickups in it at some point, resulting in some filled screw holes around the pickups. This guitar has been wired mono and the varitone disconnected, choke removed. On the positive side it does not appear to have ever been broken or cracked, and it is a very good player that sounds great! It weighs 8 lbs 14.5 oz and comes with a non original hard case.
