The Electro Harmonix Pico Attack Decay is an interesting tape simulation that provides organic volume and reverse swells and wicked tape effects. The miniature version of the Attack Decay introduced in 2019 comes in the amazingly compact format of the Pico series and features four knobs and a mono/poly switch to control the effect. The Attack knob can be used to affect the attack speed for classic swell sounds, while the Decay knob at the other end of the envelope determines the decay time and can create rhythmic staccato sounds. In mono mode, the envelope can be applied to phrases consisting of several notes, while poly mode triggers it for each note played.
