They might be best-known for well-made pedalboard staples like the Tumnus transparent OD and Ego compressor, but Wampler's trekking into more experimental territory with their newest offering: the Terraform.
The company's first modulation pedal, the Terraform is its own ecosystem of stretching, morphing, and shifting possibilities contained in a big-box format. Five controls for rate, wave shape, depth, volume and blend let you tweak one of 11 onboard effects—from familiar faces like 3-Voice Chorus and Harmonic Tremolo to more exotic fare like a Through-Zero Flanger and the volume-shifting Slow, which emulates the coveted Boss Slow Gear.
Additional features like stereo input/output, onboard tap tempo, and four presets allow plenty of sonic tinkering for the tone cadets out there.
