Fender Jag-Stang JAG-70 Reissue SBL (Sonic Blue)—the designation for the 2003 reissue of this iconic guitar (formerly the JSG-65), manufactured in Japan in 2004. It is relatively rare on the used market, as these models are highly sought after in Japan for their superior build quality.

Designed by Kurt Cobain in collaboration with Fender, this guitar is a unique fusion of the Fender Jaguar and the Fender Mustang. Kurt Cobain played this model on tour from 1993 to 1994. It features a three-way switch for each pickup, with options for out-of-phase or parallel wiring. It delivers unique, distinctive tones with plenty of character and a stunning look. The alder body provides a punchy tone perfect for big power chords, the short 24" scale length reduces string tension for easier playability, and the maple neck with a 7.25" radius rosewood fretboard offers a comfortable playing feel.

Upgraded with a Seymour Duncan USA humbucker and a Hepcat single-coil in the neck position (each pickup is unique and handmade in France).

Highly harmonious, sleek, and powerful—perfect for Grunge and Rock.

Excellent playability. Japanese craftsmanship.

Very good overall condition—a rarity for this model, as they are typically played heavily on stage. Virtually no signs of wear; frets are in good condition (7/10—see photos for details).
