Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a super clean and mean Yamaha SA700 in Persimmon Red from 1979 and crafted in Japan.   Yamaha's commitment to quality and expert execution have gained them the reputation of the Gibson of Japan.  Take this ES335 inspired beauty - It wears a beautiful Persimmon red (Cherry) finish over the Beech and Spruce ply body.   The one piece Mahogany neck has a bound Rosewood fretboard and killer Yamaha Alnico III pickups that really give a great warm PAF tone with a punchy midrange and warm highs.  Great pickups, excellent playability.  

The nut measures 1.71", neck depth is .83"-.97" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively.  It's a Medium C profile that beefs up in the dusty area but still offers great accessibility.  The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability.  There are a few scratches, dings, dents, and faint finish clouding as pictured.  It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.  Minimal amount of fret wear, a fresh set of nickel 11's and perfect intonation.  8.9 lbs.
