*Serviced* 1960's AKG D88 Stereo Dynamic Microphone
Here's a wonderful AKG stereo dynamic mic from the 60's. This a great way to get a colorful room sound, or get stereo width and some interesting character on a variety of sources.
This one has been converted to balanced XLR outputs with a new cable. It also has a new silk windscreen installed, which could really help in a situation like using this with a leslie (which would be a great application).
These were originally sold for use with tape recorders. They are not the most Hi-Fi microphone from AKG, but a really useful studio tool nonetheless. The D88 can be found with a variety of different capsules inside. The early D77's use the same capsules as AKG D14's (the D12's little brother). These have capsules with fully metal housing, and some good weight to them.
These microphones were also licensed by Telefunken, Uher, Saba, and maybe more?
