Greco is a Japanese guitar manufacturer that emerged in 1967.

Depending on the production year, these instruments were crafted at either the Matsumoku or Fuji-gen factories (the latter being the same facility that produced the renowned Japanese-made Fender guitars).

They are perfect replicas of Gibson models—essentially "Gibson-style" guitars made in Japan, offering an exceptional price-to-quality ratio. The excellence and precision of Japanese luthiers are well-known.

GRECO LES PAUL EG-650 Sunburst, made in Japan, 1973–1975

Also known as the "Narumo model"—named after a famous Japanese guitarist who, in the early 1970s, helped develop excellent Les Paul-style guitars at an accessible price point (compared to Gibson). This specific model features a contoured back (reminiscent of a Stratocaster) and an ebony fretboard—a rare touch. Most importantly, the goal was to replicate the sound of Gibson pickups as closely as possible—or perhaps even surpass them—a challenge they successfully met (featuring Maxon #15004 prototype pickups).

"Certified: no breaks, no cracks." In very good overall condition for its age, with some signs of wear; frets are in good shape. Rated 7/10 (please see photos for further details).
