Vahlbruch Kaluna V1 2020-2024 - Gold

The Vahlbruch Kaluna V1 is a handmade overdrive pedal built entirely around a real 12AX7/ECC83 vacuum tube. Unlike many other "tube pedals," the tube inside the Kaluna operates on an internal high voltage of 250 volts. This delivers the authentic dynamics, break-up, and touch-sensitivity of a cranked tube amplifier.Key Strengths

• True Tube Response: Due to the high internal voltage, the pedal responds extremely dynamically to your picking attack and your guitar's volume knob.
• Active 3-Band EQ: The equalizer (Bass, Middle, Treble) is highly intuitive, allowing you to perfectly sculpt the tone to match your specific guitar and amplifier.
• Transparency: The pedal preserves the natural character of your guitar and amp without unnaturally coloring the crucial midrange.
• Silent Switching: Equipped with Vahlbruch's proprietary "MagTraB" technology, a magnetic footswitch that is highly reliable and eliminates any switching clicks.

Best Suited Musical StylesThe Kaluna V1 excels in genres where dynamics and tonal nuances are essential:

• Blues & Roots: Ideal for that subtle, edge-of-breakup tone and warm, singing lead lines.
• Classic Rock & Hard Rock: Delivers the iconic, rich vintage crunch reminiscent of classic British tube stacks.
• Indie & Alternative Rock: Perfect for dynamic chord progressions that need to remain open and well-defined.
• Pop & Fusion: Thanks to the transparent EQ and clean boost capabilities, it adds just the right amount of warmth and harmonic richness without muddying the mix.
