Originally emerging from surf music, and later embraced by alternative, shoegaze, post-rock, and garage rock, the Jazzmaster has grown into a model whose popularity now rivals that of the Stratocaster and Telecaster.
Here we present an Ishibashi original Jazzmaster model, created to celebrate that legacy.

The finish is the rare “Desert Sand”, an uncommon color for Made in Japan models.
As the name suggests, this distinctive shade resembles desert sand and is a popular finish used on Mexican-made VINTERA II Jazzmaster and Duo-Sonic models.
The color pairs beautifully with gold hardware, which has been applied throughout—including the pickguard—for a cohesive and luxurious look.
To provide contrast and a tighter visual impression, black pickup covers and control knobs were deliberately selected.
This is a color scheme frequently seen in Fender Custom Shop creations.

Great attention has also been given to the sound.
While standard models typically use a basswood body, this guitar features an alder body, chosen to emphasize a thicker, richer, and more vintage-like midrange response.

The neck also differs from standard specifications.
It retains the familiar 9.5" radius “U”-shaped maple neck, but instead of the usual 21 frets, this model is upgraded to 22 frets with medium jumbo fret wire, offering enhanced versatility and playability.

Adding to the premium feel, the neck is finished with binding, further elevating its overall appearance.

At the heart of the sound are USA-made “American Vintage ’65 Single-Coil Jazzmaster” pickups, as used in the American Vintage series.
These pickups deliver the signature clear, articulate Jazzmaster tone, combined with a thick, sweet, and vintage-inspired character, producing an expressive and emotionally rich sound.

This is a stage-ready instrument, blending the precision of Japanese craftsmanship with authentic USA vintage tone—truly a standout Factory Special Run model.
