At the same time, the model is by no means just a faithful companion for leisure time, but also an ideal stage and studio instrument thanks to a Fishman pickup of proven quality. With the Newporter Player WN Sunburst, Fender relies on a combination of the tried and true and the exotic. Thus, the solid spruce top is an absolute classic for brilliant sounds, which are enriched with warm basses and mids by laminated sapele back and sides. The result is a balanced, assertive sound that delights in both vocal accompaniment and solo playing.

The model also convinces all along the line in terms of playability. The flat Nato neck with slim 'C' profile lies well in the hand and, with its nut width of 43 mm, fulfills ideal conditions for powerful strumming and delicate flat picking. At the same time, the picking hand glides effortlessly over the entire walnut fingerboard, as a generous cutaway allows unhindered access to even the very high registers. Meanwhile, the compensated saddle made of Graph Tech NuBone and nickel-plated vintage-style tuners ensure clean intonation and high tuning stability.

The Fishman Flex pickup system with piezo transducer under the bridge guarantees a natural acoustic sound when playing through an amp or in the recording studio. In the process, a volume and tone control allow for perfect mixing, while a phase switch suppresses distracting Feedback.
