A superb vintage Japanese HiFi integrated amplifier!

The Sansui AU-555A, released in Japan in 1970 during the “Golden Era” of high-fidelity Japanese audio equipment, is a vintage integrated amplifier of exceptional quality. The AU-555 offers a rated effective output of 25W+25W (8 ohms), with total harmonic distortion (THD) of < 0.1%. The AU-555A, by virtue of its exceptional quality and circuitry, is really a great vintage unit. It features silicon transistors in all stages, and a pure complementary Darlington circuit with SEPP / ITL / OTL composition. The high frequency region is improved by using Mylar capacitors connected in parallel. In the preamp section are low-noise silicon transistors. With these features and more, the AU-555A remains a superb amplifier. Everything about this amp spells quality, with its precise, thoughtful construction, solid aluminum knobs, and modern appearance. These fantastic vintage Sansui amps are excellent, so don’t miss this one in very good condition!

This unit is in very good condition, with only some general aging, including some scratches, tiny cracks, and some coloration (please see photos).
