A really cool Made in Japan Lawsuit guitar. It’s a 1978 Penco E-20N which has an awesome natural finish was to compete with the Gibson ES 335 market.

This guitar is all original and is in fantastic shape. The frets are hardly played. Just a few dings and scratches but all very minor. This Flamey Maple guitar is beautiful.

Heres some info we found on the internet regarding Penco guitars!

Penco was a brand of guitars owned and manufactured by the Hoshino Gakki Co. in its factory of Nagoya Japan. Ibanez guitars was another brand owned and manufactured by Hoshino Gakki. In the United States, Penco guitars were distributed by the Philadelphia Music Company. Penco line of products consisted of electric and acoustic guitars, most of them were copies (also known as "lawsuit guitars") of renowned US guitar like Fender or Gibson, produced by Japanese companies in the 1970s). The term "lawsuit guitar" origininated after a lawsuit filed by Norlin (Gibson's parent company) against Elger (owner of Ibanez) over trademark infringent in 1977.

The guitar was checked and setup by our Techs with a new set of 10’s. Everything works as it should. The pickups sound great. The neck sounds like a smoke filled jazz box and the bridge will get your attention. With a pedal, this guitar sings! Great action that’s set up nice and low.

The guitar weighs in at 7 lbs 12 ozs, has a 25 inch scale neck, nut measures 1 5/8 inches. The cool flamey body and neck are fully bound. A very high quality guitar.

We didn’t get it with the original case so we added the shown brand new Gator form fitting 335 style case for you . This cool guitar needs a good case to be shown to your friends in. It looks great in there!

Sold as is no returns as its vintage and used. However, I have been hand picking my customers instruments for over 20 years now and they all loved the guitars I found for them. This cool Penco will certainly not be an exception.
