The NEEWER X17 II is a foldable 17-inch teleprompter for video recordings, live streams, tutorials and presentations. The large, coated beamsplitter glass offers 71 per cent light transmission and enables a reading range of up to 4 metres. This ensures the script remains clearly visible even at a greater distance from the camera, whilst your gaze is directed straight towards the lens. The glass frame can be tilted up to 135° and adjusted to suit the shooting position.

Smartphones and tablets with a screen width of up to 9.3" or 235 mm can be used as text displays. The NEEWER Teleprompter app runs on iOS 11 or later and Android 6 or later, and offers settings for text size, text colour, background, text alignment and scrolling speed. Scripts can be used in .doc,.docx and.txt formats. The remote control supplied allows you to control playback, pause and text speed, amongst other functions, during the session.

The camera position can be adjusted to suit different set-ups. Camera lenses with a focal length of 35 mm or more are supported. A 501PL-compatible quick-release plate makes it easy to switch the camera between the teleprompter and a suitable tripod head. Side accessory arms with a hot shoe and a 1/4" thread are provided for additional video equipment. Mounting on a tripod is via a 1/4" or 3/8" thread.

The aluminium housing is designed for regular studio use and mobile productions. The X17 II does not need to be assembled from individual parts before use; it simply folds out. A lens hood with a magnetic closure and the flannel cover shield the camera area from stray light. After filming, the 2.4 kg teleprompter can be folded flat again and stowed away in the foam-padded carry case.
