Used Fender American Professional II Stratocaster - Olympic White (2022)

Pre-owned Fender American Professional II Stratocaster in Olympic White from 2022. Back has the original tortoise cavity cover. Top has a couple of small indentations. The pickguard has light scratching form normal playing.  The backside near the lower strap button has a small finish chip and some light survace level scratches.  Weight: 7.7 lbs  OHSC is included, as well as the case candy.  Mods: Hipshot Locking Tuners. The pickguard was replaced with a Warmoth 3 ply black/white/black, and 2 active EMG Jim Root pickups installed. Battery for the pickup system fits comfortable withint the original body carve.

After trying various prototypes Root was inspired by a set of modified Retro Active pickups to tailor his tone. He settled on a set that gave him everything he loved from the 81/60 with the added benefits and versatility of the Retro Active design.

Unlike traditional open coil pickups, both the bridge and neck pickup utilize stud poles. The fingerboard pickup uses ceramic studs giving it a clean high-end percussive tone. The bridge pickup has black steel poles and features a ceramic magnet, similar to the EMG 81. Both pickups feature custom Retro Active preamps exclusive to the Root set.
