Here for sale we have a modified Fender American Standard Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker in Black finish. Made in the USA in 2016, this guitar of course features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel/Chrome hardware is fitted including a 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge & Fender Deluxe Staggered/Sealed tuning machines. The original pickguard & pickups are included in the sale, however the guitar has been fitted with a Seymour Duncan Triple Rails loaded pickguard containing 3x Hot Rail pickups. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume, neck tone & middle tone controls. 

The Maple neck plays very well, with the Modern ‘C’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. The Satin finish to the rear feels smooth whilst providing an articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and offers a tactile and durable surface. The 9.5" radius works in conjunction with the Medium Jumbo frets to produce a rock solid playing surface which is practical for string bending, vibrato techniques and complex chord voicings alike. 

The Seymour Duncan Triple Rails loaded pickguard that has been installed in this guitar deliver thick & full-bodied tones, perfect for the player looking for a bit more grunt from their Stratocaster. There's plenty of power from each pickup to drive your amp into saturated distortion whilst retaining clarity & articulation. The neck works well for lead sounds & solos, with a nice round bass response. The middle and bridge pickups are progressively brighter, with the bridge delivering a searing output which works beautifully well for rock & metal rhythm parts. The original parts are included in the sale, so you could have two loaded pickguards ready for wherever the gig takes you.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition. The top front edge demonstrates very light indentation, difficult to discern against the natural grain. The front face demonstrates very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.

Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates very light indentation, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles and difficult to discern beneath the thumb.

Body: Overall very good condition. Very light scratching is consistent across the front face, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. This is most apparent surrounding the jack socket. Some light indentation is apparent across the lower bout and bass side waist, not piercing the finish. The sides and edges demonstrate scuffing and indentation, most notably to the treble side lower bout edges. The rear face demonstrates consistent light scratching and buckle rash, apparent only under direct lighting at certain angles. The pickguard shows mild scratching consistent with playwear. 

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with light indentation in the early register and flattening of the crowns throughout. When bending the high E in the upper register (14th fret onwards) this causes notes to choke out or lack sustain. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/8" hex) included.

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. The pickguard has been replaced. Original pickguard and a further additional pickguard with fully loaded pickups and wiring harness included.

Structural: This instrument demonstrates a slight "ski slope" in the upper register. This can be amended with a level and re-crown.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2mm
