ADR ( Audio Design & Recording ) Vocal Stresser #2 ( I have two for sale )

Just serviced and recapped.

If you get to know this device it’s worth its weight in gold!! ( read basic setup procedure below )

A sublime equalizer paired ( or used separately from ) a COMPEX compressor / limiter/ expander / gate ( but who uses anything but the compressor? : )

The equalizer ( low and high shelve and two narrow-Q mids ) can be switched pre or post compressor, and it does both jobs equally good! Use it in it’s pre setting to manipulate your compressor‘s reaction “curve” or use it post to push you compressor into the equalizer with gorgeous results! all frequencies sound perfect, but the highs and lows are jaw dropping quality!

The compressor is the ADR COMPEX!! you can go subtle with it, but it’s forte is “chewing audio”!! It makes ( for instance) drums bounce like no other compressor does, it can totally SLAM at slower attack settings, but it’s the only compressor who handles fast attack like you want ! it turns ( again for instance) the attack of your drum in to “BOUNCY RUBBER” ( hard to explain )

IMPORTANT SETUP GUIDE:

1 — For use of equalizer TOGETHER with the compressor — use channel 2 in/out, — ITS VERY IMPORTANT to put the equalizer in it‘s “main ON“ position!

2 — For SEPARATE use of equalizer and compressor — plug the source which needs EQ in channel 1 in/out, and the source which needs compression in channel 2 in/ out — NOW IT’S VERY IMPORTANT to put the equalizer in it’s “main OFF“ position, it will NOT FUNCTION OTHERWISE!!

ADDENDUM: with “main ON“ and “main OFF” I mean the equalization on/of switch on the left of the equalizer section.
