The Farfisa VIP 400 is a classic Italian dual-manual organ from the golden age of transistor tone. Bright and reedy, punchy ‘60s/‘70s Sound Found on everything from psych and prog to new wave. Its “Syntheslalom” pitch-glide adds wild expressive sweeps. Used by the likes of Tangerine Dream’s Edgar Froese and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin.
The VIP (Very Important Portable) series were semi-portable transistor organs, larger and more advanced than the Compact line, with the VIP 400 featuring a fixed wooden cabinet, expanded voice tabs, drawbars, and percussion circuits, positioning it as a “Professional Electronic Organ” rather than a simple gigging combo.
Complete with legs, volume pedal & lid. Lower manual bass "Flute" drawbar is loose but still functional. Upper manual "Harpsichord" drawbar is a little finicky and will only work in a certain spot, the "Short/Long" drawbar seems to have no effect. Sold as is.
