This is a stunning split soundhole guitar crafted by Erich Dölling, a renowned luthier from Siebrunn. He was part of a long tradition of East German guitar and instrument making. During the 1950s and 60s, Dölling was one of the many luthiers producing exceptional archtop and jazz guitars, contributing to the golden age of German guitarmaking. He sold his guitars through various instrument shops, and this particular piece was sold by HEMOSCH. It truly is a beautiful work of art.

This guitar features fully solid woods, an integrated, fully functioning pickup, and the distinctive German carve with a double soundhole. It is undoubtedly a high-quality instrument!

The guitar is in really good condition for its age with only very little wear, as you can see in the pictures. The tuners turn smoothly and hold the string tension well. The guitar sounds really full and well and is perfect for the blues and jazz music of the 50s and 60s. The guitar plays very comfortably too because of the low action and the straight neck. The frets where polished, the fretboard got oiled and the strings are new too!

The guitar can be played immediatly.

If you have any questions left, or if you need more pictures, feel free to ask :-)
