Summary: This 1949 Gibson LG-1 is an outstanding small body guitar with a wonderful, crisp vintage tone. The ladder bracing of the LG-1 produces a charming woody tone that is even across the tonal spectrum with lots of pop and clarity. While these guitars are often sought after by fingerstyle and country blues players, this example sounds great flat picked and would be suitable for virtually any genre of music.
Body: Adirondack spruce top, Mahogany back and sides in Sunburst finish.
Neck: Mahogany with a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, 24.75” scale length, 1.689” nut width, 20 frets, pearl dot inlays.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in good, honest player wear. It has surface scratches on the body, as well as honest wear, including stable cracks, finish cracks and scuffs, which do not affect playability. The back of the neck has good, honest wear, and the frets show some wear. The back has buckle rash, and stable cracks in the finish.. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.
Modifications: Neck reset and bridge reglue, and a new saddle, all work done by a nationally recognized luthier.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
