The 500/2 Hofner club bass is a beautiful instrument all around. Handmade in Germany and 100% functional, it's hands down my favorite bass. I'd hate to sell it but i just bought a custom Hofner and am hoping to alleviate the cost.
Its rich tone gives you that McCartney sound without the look of the violin bass, but this bass does so much more. I've used it as my primary bass throughout my career, playing Pop/Rock/Folk with my group, and bringing it to recording sessions for other artists. It sits great with pop, rock, jazz, blues, reggae, and funk! I wouldn't slap on it though.
When she leaves my hands, I know that i'm going to regret it, but im looking for her to have a good home above all.
Down to the specs,
ITS LEFTY
It's Less than 5 lbs, and very comfortable to hold and play. I've played 3 hour gigs without hurting my neck and back because its a lighter semi hollow body. It's got a c shaped neck.
