A beautiful, pre-owned, handmade, high-C tuned fretless 5-string model has arrived!

Based in Kita-Shinjuku, luthier Shigehiro Tomoda opened "Yellow Gem guitars and basses" in 2016, drawing on his years of experience honing his skills and research while teaching at a vocational school run by a major manufacturer. From wood selection to design, woodworking, painting, and assembly, everything is handmade in-house, and his practical, modern arrangements and original models, designed with the player in mind, are highly regarded.

This "Regent" model incorporates all of the knowledge and skills of luthier Shigehiro Tomoda, featuring a 34-inch scale bolt-on neck, a 24-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard, a mahogany hollow body construction, and a NOLL preamp.
With the ability to mix magnetic and piezo pickups, you can enjoy a wide range of tonal variations, from acoustic tones to a punchy, fretless electric bass sound with the rear pickup engaged. Furthermore, the original pickup cover and ramp contribute to extremely comfortable playability, even for technical phrases and chords.

The guitar appears to have been carefully maintained, with virtually no scratches or signs of use, and is in superb condition. The truss rod and electronics are all functioning perfectly. It is currently set up with black nylon strings, which do not have a proper string ground connection, so it may pick up noise depending on the environment. However, this is due to the string specifications, and those who are concerned about this may find it more compatible to switch to flatwound strings.

A rare find that you don't often see on the market! Don't miss out!
