ESP LTD RB-1005-SM Natural Gloss 2014 5-String Electric Bass

Here for sale we have an ESP LTD RB-1005-SM 5-String Electric Bass in Natural Gloss finish. Made in Korea in 2014, this bass consists of a Swamp Ash body with a Solid Spalted Maple top, a 5-piece Maple and Walnut neck, and a 22-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a Gotoh bridge, Grover tuners, and Black Nickel hardware. The pickups featured on this Bass are a set of Aguilar PJ single coils. These pickups are wired to a master volume, pickup balancer, and OBP-2 2-Band EQ.

The 5-piece Maple and Walnut neck plays very well, with the Thin U profile feeling nicely slim and manageable in the hand, perfect for speedy, articulate playing along the 34" scale length. The Satin finish to the rear is pleasant to the touch and assists with smooth navigation of the 22 fret register, whilst the double cutaway body design and sculpted heel ensure uninhibited access to the upper frets. The Maple fingerboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface, whilst the 17.7” radius works in conjunction with the Jumbo frets to deliver a rock solid playing experience in all registers.

The Aguilar PJ pickups installed in this guitar deliver a punchy, heavy low-end tone that makes a real impact in the mix. The Aguilar Precision-style split-coil pickup in the middle position sounds chunky and emphasises the bass and lower-midrange, perfect for round and smooth tones. The Aguilar Jazz-Style pickup in the bridge takes care of the bright trebly sounds, and blends beautifully with the Aguilar Precision-style split-coil pickup for a well rounded and punchy tone that is well suited to rock and metal styles whilst remaining versatile enough for use in a range of musical settings. The active preamp offers comprehensive control of your tone in a simple package.
