Video Features 100% maple shells The Maple series shells are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced mid and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the use of carefully selected maple plies and focus on shell formation and edge profile. Edges The 45° bearing edge ensures optimal contact with the head. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edges on toms deliver fast attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique, warm vintage tone. Finish The matte finish of Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and unconventional sound. The lacquer used on Maple Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. Tube Lug Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug body "floats" above the shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full range of sounds. To minimize the risk of detuning, each features a long screw that seats deeply in the lug. Additionally, each has dual protection in the form of metal and nylon washers, ensuring tuning stability. Chrome hardware All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with a chrome coating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. The cast logo on Polmuz shells is a true declaration of quality and style. Made of solid brass and chrome-plated, the Polmuz nameplate is a guarantee and signature of the highest level of craftsmanship in each drum. Mounting system The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, aluminum components ensure reduced weight. Bass drum hooks The hooks on Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, hooks and rims form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning. Heads Transparent, single-ply, high-quality heads are used on the drums. Resonant heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.
