This is Mike Lull’s take on the classic 5-string P-Bass formula: lightweight, exceptionally well balanced, extremely comfortable to play, and built with the kind of clarity and consistency expected from a high-end professional instrument.

The bass features an ash body, maple neck, and beautiful birdseye maple fingerboard. With its 35" scale and carefully designed construction, the P5 provides a tight and authoritative low B while retaining the direct response and familiar character of a traditional Precision Bass.

Sonically, this is very much a classic P-style instrument, but with considerably greater definition across all five strings. The low B remains focused and articulate, while the upper strings retain the punch, weight, and immediacy expected from a great P-Bass.

It is the kind of bass worthy of major live stages and serious studio sessions. The passive electronics are simple and musical, and the instrument sits naturally in a mix without requiring excessive EQ or processing.

The bass is also notably light for a full-scale five-string, weighing approximately 8 lbs, and balances extremely well both seated and on a strap.
