Originally developed at the request of Leo Sayer, this noise gate was designed as an alternative to the Decimator, which he found unsatisfactory for his needs. It offers precise control over noise reduction with adjustable threshold, depth, and release time.
An interactive release circuit automatically shortens the release for quick, staccato playing while allowing smoother decay on sustained notes. The LED indicates gate activity, remaining dim when the gate is closed and brightening as the signal opens the gate.
