The Encore 212R Mallets feature Red 1 1/8" Medium Rubber Heads and Rattan Handles. Rubber mallets are ideal for creating a traditional Guatemalan sound on marimba, as well as for achieving an articulate but not-too-harsh sound on woodblock, temple block, and log drum.
The diversity of the materials and high quality construction of the Encore Unwound Series provides percussionists with many sound options for musical expression on xylophone, bells, marimba, and auxiliary percussion. Put together by the hands of skilled Encore Mallet-smiths, the mallet heads of this series are made of nine different materials, including extra hard PVC, hard acetate, polyethylene, and numerous types of rubbers.
