The Yamaha YGT-1, released in the “Golden Age” of Japanese high-fidelity audio equipment, is a turntable platter of epic proportions. This is an ultra-high-end and extremely rare piece of audio equipment. It was designed for use with the Yamaha GT-2000, an exceptional turntable in its own right. While the original huge platter for the GT-2000 was 5.8 kg (12.8 lb), this YGT-1, which is made of gunmetal, weighs in at an absolutely staggering 18 kg (39.6 lb). This results in a moment of inertia of 3.6 ton m^2. Overall, this is a very, very cool piece of audiophile history that delivers exceptional performance.
This particular unit is in excellent condition, with only minor signs of age or use, including some scuffs (please check photos). Furthermore, it has been thoroughly tested and checked by our professional in-house technician, confirming its flawless working quality.
