At this time, Echolette had microphones built by AKG, 1:1 copies of some of AKG/Sennheiser now-classic microphone . They had the ES-14 (a 1:1 of the MD409), the ES12 and select 12 (D12 compadres). They also had this, the top 14, a twin to AKG's D14S, but without a hi-pass switch.
The microphone is really lightweight but the sound is absolutely fantastic. Uses AKG's "sheet metal" capsule designed in 1957. Original DIN output has been changed to TRS (XLR wired upon request). On/off switch functions properly. Put this in front of a guitar cab and watch your recording get bigger by the measure!
There is a poorly repaired crack on the top of the housing of this mic. Unfortunately that's fairly common for this particular microphone.
Original case included, though it's in fair shape and doesn't have a strap.
