Gibson Paul Kossoff 1959 Les Paul VOS
The Gibson Custom Shop honors legendary guitarist Paul Kossoff with the Gibson Custom Paul Kossoff 1959 VOS Les Paul electric guitar. This incredible instrument pays tribute to the influential guitarist who is known for his famous riffs in the band 'Free' as well as great solo work. Through all is playing days Paul was almost always seen playing his well loved '59 Les Paul sunburst. A limited run of only 250 VOS Paul Kossoff Les Paul guitars are being produced!As a member of the band Free, Paul Kossoff made a significant impact on generations of guitarists in his tragically short life. By the time Paul passed away in 1976, at the age of 25, he had caught the attention of legends like Eric Clapton and Peter Green. In part for his unique take on the dominant Blues Rock movement coming out of England, as well as for the particular and masterful vibrato work he would often weave into his music. Paul's tone was purely '59 Burst. From the infamous All Right Now (Free) to his landmark solo release of Backstreet Crawler and across a sizeable amount of session work, an original 1959 Les Paul sunburst was his constant companion.
