Electro-Harmonix Announces Canyon Delay & Looper

Electro-Harmonix is following up their wacky Blurst NAMM release with the Canyon Delay & Looper.

Announced over the company’s social media outlets yesterday, the Canyon is a delay/looper with up to three seconds of delay time. With 10 unique delay flavors plus a dedicated 62-second loop function with overdubbing, the Canyon also brings a tap tempo and internal delay trail switch into the fold.

A quick scan through the settings will reveal staples like digital, modulated, and tape emulation delays. However, since this is EHX, there’s plenty of unfamiliar territory to explore. Kicking on the Crystal Shimmer setting summons an ethereal, undulating effect created by EHX founder Mike Matthews back in the ‘80s, and the sample/hold function makes a static imprint of the last sound through your signal - similar to the EHX Freeze - for an almost industrial effect. There’s even a Deluxe Memory Man setting when you just want some organic analog presence while you’re noodling.
