Here for sale we have a Fender Custom Shop 1956 Stratocaster NOS Electric Guitar in Fiesta Red finish. Made in the USA in 2006, this guitar consists of an Alder body, a Birdseye Maple neck, and a 22-fret Birdseye Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include Sperzel locking tuners, Gold hardware, a Vintage-Style 6-Saddle tremolo bridge, and a trio of Fender Strat Vintage Noiseless Single Coil pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, two tone controls, and a 5-way pickup selector. 

The Maple neck plays beautifully, with the Modern 'V' profile promoting ergonomic thumb positioning and providing a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience. Certainly, the profile feels unique when compared with Fender's more modern 'C' shape necks. The 9.5" radius & Medium Jumbo frets are modern touches which make the instrument more practical for fast lead playing and big string bends without compromising on the vintage flavour of the instrument.

The trio of Fender Strat Vintage Noiseless Single-Coil pickups installed in this guitar deliver classic '50s Stratocaster tones whilst reducing the noise and hum that comes along with those original pickups. The warmth and roundness of the neck pickup retains its typical 'Strat' character whilst also offering a glass-like purity. The middle pickup is a similar story of the 'typical strat sound' that you might expect, but with a level of refinement that elevates it beyond what anyone could reasonably hope for. The bridge pickup is bright and twangy, with a higher output that drives the amp beautifully, whilst retaining clarity and control that is not so common with Strat bridge pickups. This is an absolutely stunning instrument that beautifully exemplifies why the Fender Custom Shop is the absolute pinnacle of electric guitar building.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate very light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. Light indentation is apparent to the edges of the rounded tip, lightly removing the finish in a small area. The front face has had two non original string trees fitted.

Neck: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. The treble side of the 8th fret demonstrates a small area of raised finish which cannot be felt beneath the strings.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching, scuffing and indentation. The front face demonstrates light scratching throughout, only visible under direct light at certain angles. A small indentation is apparent at the treble side of the front faces lower bout, with another at the bass side horn. These have marked but not removed any of the finish. Further indentation that has pierced but not removed the finish is apparent near the treble side horn tip.

Black scuff marks are apparent at the tip of the treble side horn and rear face edge of the bass side horn, with further at the bass side lower bout sides. The rear face demonstrates light scratching and indentation, with a light crack to finish stemming from the bottom treble side screw hole. 2 square markings to the finish are apparent from previous pick holder installations, these can only be seen under direct light at certain angles and can be found at the bass side horn and lower bout, beneath the bridge.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting is present to the early register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/8" inch hex) not included?

Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Light scratching and tarnishing is apparent to the bridge, bridge cover, neck plate, input jack and tuners. Light fading is apparent to the Noiseless logo on the pickups and to the numbers on the control knobs. Concentrated light scratching is apparent to the pickguard. The string hole in the backplate has been modified by a previous owner, enlarging the hole.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm

Fully functional and very good condition. All aspects of the case demonstrate light signs of previous use. All clasps, compartments and handles are functional.
