A fantastic setup that has served me well. Both machines are in full working condition. The tascam was serviced in 2024.
There are some dents/cracks/scratches in the tascam but they are purely aesthetic and due to the items age. The toft has light signs of wear which also has no effect on its usability.
A great alternative to the Tascam 388, arguably the 38 is a better tape machine and the toft allows for a much more versatile workflow.
One of the most useful features is the ability to send a direct out signal from the toft to your daw as well as to the tape machine for simultaneous analog & digital recording.
