Here for sale we have a Charvel EVH Art Series Electric Guitar in Red/White/Black Stripe finish. These guitars were built as part of a special production run of EVH replica guitars that ran alongside the Art Series Tour guitars that Eddie would play and sign at every show when they were on tour. These guitars also bridged the gap from Eddie moving from Charvel to his own EVH brand. 

Made in the USA in 2006, this guitar has been spec'd out to replicate Eddie's own guitar as best as possible. A Basswood body is employed, with an oil-finished Quartersawn Maple neck, and a Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a Floyd Rose Original Tremolo, an EVH D-Tuna, Chrome hardware, and a Custom Wound EVH Humbucker. This pickup is wired to a single master volume control.

The specially formulated oil finished Maple neck plays very well, its "C" profile feeling quick and easy in the hand, offering a thinner and more technical playing surface than most 'C' necks, all while feeling beautifully 'broken in'.  A compound fingerboard radius gives a very balanced feel across the full range of the instrument, perfect for comfy rhythm playing in the lower register and massive bends further up the neck. 

The single Custom Wound EVH Humbucker installed in the bridge position delivers a hot output that saturates into a thick and throaty distortion as you drive the amp. A robust low end gives way to punchy mids and articulate, sparkly highs that capture all the nuance and accuracy of your fast picking and tapping licks. The single master volume control allows you to ride the gain level of your amp very effectively, bringing you very close to the great Eddie Van Halen's tone.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the top tip of the headstock, these can be seen under close scrutiny. The side edges display light discoloration, this is common with natural finish Maple.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Mild discoloration is present across the register to both the fingerboard and rear of the neck, this is consistent with regular past use and is common with natural finished Maples necks.

Body: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the body display light scratching which can only be seen under direct light, the most apparent of these can be seen to the front face below the tremolo system.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Light flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (flat head driver) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. Mild tarnishing can be seen to the fine tuners on the bridge. Tremolo arm included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
