About This Model

The Rotel RCD-1072 is a single-disc CD player built around a Burr-Brown PCM1732 24-bit delta-sigma DAC with 8x oversampling digital filtration, delivering precise, refined playback from standard CDs as well as HDCD-encoded discs. Its power supply centres on a large toroidal transformer with separate stabilisation circuits and low-ESR storage capacitors, isolating the audio circuitry from electrical noise. Connectivity covers left/right fixed-level RCA analog outputs, a single coaxial digital output for use with an outboard DAC, a 12V trigger input, and an external IR sensor input. The front panel provides direct access to Program, Random, Repeat, Scan, Review, and Time functions, and a high-density electrofluorescent display keeps track of disc information at a glance. The supplied remote adds a full numeric keypad for direct track access.
