Schecter PT Telecaster Van Nuys era 1979 - Ash

Extremely Rare early Schecter PT-style Telecaster built circa 1979 using genuine Van Nuys-era Schecter components. Assembled during the original Schecter Guitar Research era by a Schecter authorised luthier using genuine Schecter neck, body and brass hardware from the Van Nuys period.

This was a custom-build, so the non-schecter specs include the original '59 Seymour Duncan Humbuckers in both neck and Bridge. Also Schaller M6 tuning pegs were installed instead of Klusson tuners. A Fender string tree was added at some point.

A new Seymour Duncan Hotrails humbucker is installed at the Bridge position. The original bridge pickup needs repair, and is included in the sale. This guitar has a massive sound!

The guitar has been internally inspected and photographed. All components are consistent with a late-70s build.

Tone is exceptional:

Warm articulate neck tones, strong Tele bite at the bridge, huge sustain from the ash body and brass hardware.

Excellent vintage condition for age with honest wear only.

These early Van Nuys-era Schecter are very rare.

I have owned this guitar since 1993 and now time to move it on. Am more of a Strat player these days.
