Here for sale we have a Warwick Rockbass Streamer Standard Electric Bass in Trans Red finish. Made in China in 2002, this bass consists of a Ash body, a Maple neck and a 24 Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is featured with a Warwick 4-Saddle bridge and a set of Warwick machine heads. A pair of Passive MEC humbuckers are installed with simple control for neck volume, bridge volume and a master tone control.

The Maple neck plays superbly well, with the Warwick neck profile feeling somewhat like a 'D' shape. The profile is fairly substantial, but with the slightly flattened area to the centre rear encouraging ergonomic thumb positioning, it's easy to reach notes across the register. Paired with generous double-cutaway body design and sculpted neck heel, the full range of the instrument is easily accessible. The Rosewood of the fingerboard provides a tactile yet durable playing surface.

The Warwick sound is well known for its deep growl, and the tonewood selection helping to secure a reputation amongst players for a versatile yet distinct tone that will stand out from the crowd. There are of course plenty of deep, rumbling lows which will fill out the band mix, whilst the punchy mids and sparkling top end help to create a driving sound and sense of urgency by capturing the attack of your playing. The on-board controls offer comprehensive tonal opportunities whilst maintaining a simple and non-intrusive character on the playing experience.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall good condition. Very light cracking can be seen to the rear face which head towards the top edge, these have been tested and present no structural concerns. Moderate discoloration can be seen to the the side edges and top edge, this is consistent with moderate past use. A screw is partially embedded with the wood beneath the D tuning machine, a previous owner has made a new screw hole to avoid the previous screw. Markings are present to the front face which can only be seen under direct light.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present across the rear of the neck, these can slightly be felt in the playing position. Light wear markings are also present to the rear of the neck, these can be seen to the treble side early register and 6th/7th frets. Light indentations and present to the 9th fret of the fingerboard, these can not be felt in the playing position.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light lacquer cracking is present to all aspects of the body, these are most apparent to the front face bass side where the fingerboard ends, around the neck bolts and the the center of the rear face, these have not exposed the wood beneath. All aspects of the body display light to moderate scratching, indentations  and chipping of the finish, the most apparent chipping can be seen to both the bass side of the neck pocket and to the rear face face lower bout edge, these have exposed the wood beneath.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included. The truss rod is stiff when adjusting but remains fully functional.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the metal hardware display light to mild tarnishing and oxidation, this is most apparent to the tuning machines and bridge saddles. A previous owner has replaced the original control knobs with brushed knurled knobs, the originals are not included. The strap button on the bass side horn has been replaced by a previous owner.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Strings on Guitar - 45-100

Height of string from 12th Fret- Treble 2mm - Bass 2.25mm

Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.

This bass demonstrates mild fret noise to the higher register on the G string which is not apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this.

Electrics:

Fully functional.

Case & Accessories:

No case is provided with this guitar.

Further Notes:

Due to this bass having its serial number removed previously it is hard to provide an accurate date. With this these basses were generally produced in 2002.
