Sonor SSE14-1407SDW HYKEY / Yamaki Hideo Debut 50th Anniversary Limited Model Snare Drum 14"×7"

This snare drum is a limited edition model produced by a major Tokyo music store in 2014 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the drummer's musical career. It's a model with only 39 units available.

It features a sharp, edgy sound thanks to heavy-duty hardware, complemented by the well-defined mid-low frequencies characteristic of a birch shell. The top end, which can be harsh on the ears in maple shells, is subtly toned down, resulting in a snare drum that's easy to use across genres. Furthermore, it's equipped with the "DUAL GLIDE SYSTEM," introduced in 2012, a practical system that allows for fine-tuning of the left-right balance while the strainer is attached.

The batter head is an Evans oil-infused 2-ply head, "Hydraulic Blue."

Unlike Remo's Pinstripe head, it suppresses overtones without becoming excessively dead, producing a clear, crisp sound with good projection.

The shell features a handwritten signature by Hideo Yamaki.

This is a used item and may have some scratches and stains, but none will affect the sound.
