Some years back, over the lockdown period in fact, an amp head belonging to the late great Van Halen came in to a friend’s workshop for a re-valve and bias. That amp (from the era of his time spent with Mike Soldano) ended up sitting on the work bench for some months, as the world ground to a halt and we all stayed home. This was a great opportunity to see what made that thing tick, so a thorough analysis was made of the pre-amp section of the amp so it could be miniaturised into an MXR size lightweight pedal. That was the mission and after a few prototypes, these pedals are the end result. 

There are only 65 made in total, to commemorate each year of the great man’s life. This isn’t about a money making venture (we would have made a few thousand if that were the case!) But it’s simply a salute to the VH sound from the 70’s/80’s era. Each pedal is numbered 1 - 65 and three colours are available: Gold, Black, Blue.

65 is all there is and there will be no more! These pedals were made using only the finest parts and are very quiet (quieter than the original head!) And they sound and feel extremely close to the original head too! This may well be one of your favourite pedals of all time, it's certainly one of mine! Uses a 9v Battery or Boss type 9v adapter. Features a bright blue LED when it’s on and true bypass when it's off.
