Ariston RD 80 SL - one owner from new - Mission 774 LC tonearm - Nagaoka MP-11 cartridge
I am selling my cherished Ariston RD 80 SL purchased by me in the early 1980s (Serial No. 014627) - probably 1982. This "SL" version is the refined successor to the original RD 80, featuring the upgraded concave platter and improved sub-chassis for superior pitch stability and record contact.
Sought after Scottish-made deck with the original screw-down record clamp.
Tonearm: Mission 774 LC, a precision Japanese-built arm that provides a rigid, high-performance pairing for this deck.
Cartridge: Nagaoka MP-11, including the original stylus guard. It delivers a famously warm and musical sound.
Excellent cosmetic condition. The lid is completely crack-free and the hinges are strong. The suspension "bounces nicely" and remains perfectly aligned.
The unit has been in careful storage and will benefit from a new drive belt and fresh bearing oil to reach its peak performance. It is, however, fully functional and I welcome demonstrations to potential buyers.
To protect the delicate suspension and crack-free lid, I will not ship this item. Collection only from OL13 (Rossendale). Any questions, please ask.
