This '62 Tele Custom reissue was spec'd out by Rudy himself as an homage to one of the guitars that inspired him to get into the guitar business. In this same run of custom builds, he designed 11 other guitars to celebrate the vintage Fender guitars we know and love.
Rudy's aim was to combine modern playability with vintage vibe, and to recreate these guitars in almost exactly the same fashion as they would have left the factory in their original production year. The reason he chose a Tele Custom in this finish: "The combination of the rosewood fingerboard with the Candy Apple Red finish and double binding... I just think the guitar looks so COOL!". Sometimes that's all it takes to love a guitar, and when it's built by the Fender Custom Shop, you know you can't go wrong.
