For sale is my beloved Eastman E6 OM.

This Eastman E6 OM is a beautifully crafted OM model in near-mint condition. Featuring a thin Nitrocellulose lacquer finish (as seen in pics) and an additional bevelled Atkin celluloid pickguard for that vintage Martin vibe. Atkin pickguards are the pick of the bunch, and this really offsets the instrument when compared to the flat smaller pickguards that come as standard on Eastman acoustics. It works better for the instrument also, because it is actually a OOO and not an OM (not sure why Eastman label them as OMs, as they have the 24.9" OOO scale length).

This model has a full Nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Eastman has now stopped using Nitrocellulose finishes on their guitars and have instead switched to a Urethane finish they call "Truetone Gloss". This is one of the Nitrocellulose guitars from before that change - I have compared this against the new ones and it is far more resonant, lighter, and has better tone.

Specs:

• Solid spruce top - complete with a very small amount of "bear claw" and lots of lush cross-silking. An incredible top.
• Solid mahogany back and sides - the back on this is particularly stunning.
• 1-piece solid mahogany neck - satin finish with hand-carved "volute".
• 1 3/4" nut width for comfortable playability - especially great for fingerstyle.
• Bone nut and intonated bone saddle.
• Ebony fingerboard and bridge.
• Tortoiseshell binding.

Eastman guitars are renowned for their build quality — this is essentially a hand-built, custom-shop-quality acoustic, made with meticulous attention to detail in their Chinese factory. Selling to help fund a mortgage.

Comes with the original hardshell case and case candy. In near-mint condition; plays and sounds fantastic!
