Here a very rare Peavey T-25 Sustanite prototype electric guitar, made in the US circa 1980. With 21- fret maple fingerboard with dot position markers, red finish synthetic body with two pickups and hard tail bridge, original Peavey hard case. This guitar is a unique prototype guitar with a `Sustanite` plastic and wood core body design, designed by chief designer Chip Todd. This model of guitar did not make it into production as plastic prices had rocketed, and would have rendered this project economically unsustainable. Furthermore, injection moulding of the guitar necks proved also far from simple. Instead the T-series including the existing T-60 guitar and T-40 bass, was put into production based on all-wood body design. In total there were 3 prototypes, one of each allocated to Hartley a Peavey, chief designer Chip Todd and the then head of Peavey Europe Distribution. Details on this model can be seen in the treatise by Ken Achard
