Overdriver and the nearly identical Power Booster are perhaps best known through David Gilmour. The pedal is unique, because it was originally designed as a booster with a very strong bass and treble tone stack but it works great as an overdrive or even like fuzz pedal.
Usually, vintage pedals are one-sound wonders, but this is a really versatile sound shaper and distortion pedal.
We have examined the original unit with audio analyzers and many pair of ears. Used hours and hours to tweak our prototypes, tried many kinds of transistors and caps, bias points, voltages... And our team end up with a DIY-kit that uses 2023 parts but still sounds exactly like the original.
