The David Gilmour inspired "Pink Tone" pickup set for Stratocaster
This is a set designed to reproduce the tone of that very well known black Stratocaster. An unusual set for sure.
It's comprised of a vintage '54 Strat alnico five heavy Formvar neck pickup with a vintage 50's stagger wound to a conservative 5.6k.
The middle is a 60's style alnico five wound with 42 awg plain enamel to a sweet sounding 5.95k.
And the standout of the set, the bridge is a high output alnico 2 pickup with single poly nylon magnet wire piled high to the low 12k range. They produce a variety of tones and when combined in the 2 and 4 positions create some real unique sounds. If you're looking at this set you probably already know the sound of his black Strat, I call it the "Pink Tone" set for the not too subtle reference to the band. This set is for those who desire that ever so cool sound of one of the greats.
Includes mounting hardware and covers in your color choice : white, aged white, cream or black
