C. Bechstein Model V 1903 Grand Piano

This lovely piano has been in my family for three generations, and has seen periodic use, spending the last 30 years in the same house in which it was well looked-after, regularly maintained, and kept in good climate. It measures 6ft 6in, with the serial number 67661.

Playing-wise, it plays as well as it did when I first played it 25 years ago. I am no expert, but the action feels good, and for its age the keys don't feel loose. Mechanically everything is in working order, with no defective playing components. The keys themselves are in good condition, with the keytops all intact. It has not been tuned for over a year as I have not been around to play it, but when it is tuned it holds its tuning well. I have the latest valuation from our tuner which echoes my appraisal of the instrument, which I will happily share with interested buyers.

This piano has not been refurbished, and so while it is fully working, there are cosmetic signs of age, such as the finish being worn away on the fallboard and the pedal assembly (see photos). The music stand, which is a beautiful design, has become fragile over the years, and while intact it may wish for some attention in the future. This is a lovely instrument that has seen good use, and it now needs a good home where I hope it will be played properly again! Please note, we do not have the facilities to ship this instrument unless by private arrangement. The piano is situated at a point in the house that is easy to move it out through double doors. I would ask that buyers arrange collection of the instrument where possible.

Any questions you have about the instrument, or any footage you would like of it in action, I would be happy to answer!
