Schecter Hellraiser Extreme-5 Bass in See-Thru Black Satin

The Hellraiser Extreme-5 delivers a fast, ergonomic platform built around a thin 'C' neck profile and 35" scale that rewards precision technique across extended range work. The neck-thru construction with Ultra Access cutaway keeps upper frets completely unobstructed, while the quilted maple top over mahogany body balances weight with tonal complexity. This is a serious five-string instrument for players who demand professional-grade hardware, active electronics, and fretboard access without compromise.

Playability & Construction

The neck-thru design ensures solid body-to-neck integration and sustain, while the thin 'C' profile—measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the 12th—sits comfortably in hand for extended sessions. Twenty-four X-Jumbo frets on a 16" radius ebony fretboard offer fast string articulation and smooth lateral movement, and the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.771" width maintains proper string spacing across the 35" scale without excess neck bulk.

Tone & Electronics

Dual EMG 40TW pickups paired with an active 18-volt 3-band EQ deliver punchy articulation and broad tonal shaping—from tight lows to controlled highs. The Schecter Custom Bass String Thru bridge with black chrome hardware locks strings securely while the mahogany core with quilted maple top generates natural warmth and definition across the frequency range.
