Located at the end of Great Barrington, Massachusetts' Railroad Street extension, deep in the heart of the cultural center of the beautiful Berkshires, The Acoustic Music Store offers a combination of traditional, folk and unusual instruments, musical accessories, novelties and gifts. And for those whose instruments are in need of a little TLC (or even an overhaul), our experienced luthier can handle most repairs in a timely manner. We offer assessments of customer's pre-owned instruments and occasionally, should it be mutually beneficial, we will offer to buy, trade or consign them on our Reverb site or in our store inside Claudia's Cluttered Closeout Corner.
We have over 100 guitars in stock from entry-level to professional-grade that include acoustic, acoustic/electric and classical instruments – with several unique, luthier-crafted instruments on hand as well. Combined with a cozy, friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable staff, the guitar enthusiast is able to sample a wide variety of instruments.
From time to time, select consignment orchestral and band instruments can be found nestling amongst such unusual instruments as folk harps, didgeridoos, clay/wooden & bamboo flutes, kalimbas, dulcimers, carbon graphite guitars, cigar box guitars and the region’s largest collection of fine ukeleles and harmonicas.
Hand percussion lovers will find an eclectic mix of traditional and exotic instruments including bongos, congas, quintos, shekeres, RhythmRings, African djembes, doumbeks, guiros, basket shakers, celtic bodhrans, prayer drums, locally-made metal tongue drums and many more intriguing examples of international percussion.

Shipping Policy
We will ship with tracking to the continental United States only. US Territories, Alaska and Hawaii will incur additional charges. We primarily will ship via UPS whenever possible.
IMPORTANT NOTE: While we expertly inspect and pack all our instruments before they are shipped, we can NOT be held accountable or responsible for weather/climate-related shipping delays or damage to instruments due to the vicissitudes of temperature/climate conditions that may ensue while the instrument is in transit. Care needs to taken by the purchaser to follow the tracking progress of their shipment, and if necessary, make alternative arrangements with the carrier for the instrument's pick-up/delivery so that it is not left unattended in conditions of adverse heat/cold or moisture. Should such adverse conditions be present, it is also wise to allow the instrument to acclimatize to its new environment before unpacking and playing!

General Terms
Items must be returned in original, as-shipped condition with all original packaging and no signs of use. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless the item was not received as described.
Special Conditions
We have a Five Day Money Back Return Policy in the event that you (the Buyer) believe an item was described incorrectly or is found to have non-working features that were not previously described, however you must notify us (the Seller) within 24 hours of receiving said item. In the event of shipping damage, the Buyer must report this to the Seller within 24 hours of receipt of the damaged item. (In the event of shipping damage, DO NOT discard the shipping carton/materials!). The Buyer is responsible for shipping in both directions and the instrument must be returned in the condition in which it was received. In the event of a return, any original shipping cost will NOT be refunded.
While unless otherwise indicated in the item's description, all instruments are well set-up for immediate play, and luthier inspected before they ship. It is prudent to expect that shipping - especially if the instrument is exposed to extremes of temperature and humidity, or has to travel a great distance - may disturb the set-up and you may wish to have your instrument set-up according to personal preference. HOWEVER, ANY CHANGES MADE TO THE INSTRUMENT BY THE BUYER WILL VOID THE RIGHT TO RETURN! Remember to notify us IMMEDIATELY upon receipt of the instrument should any problems be observed.
