I am Shannon Smith, founder of Sound Smith. Music has always been one of my deepest passions. I am a singer-songwriter and have performed and taught guitar for most of my life.

A few years after graduating from college with a business and teaching focus (bachelor's of Business Administration and a master's of Arts & Teaching) and dabbling in a couple different professions, I decided to turn my passion into a career. As a performing musician, wife, and mother of two beautiful boys, I wanted to do something that makes me come alive, while maintaining a lifestyle that I value. I started out selling guitar capos and gradually added more products to the lineup. We now have a variety of guitars, ukuleles, harmonicas, and accessories. I am personally very particular about using only quality gear, and I use that selectivity and pride in developing the most premium products for my customers.

As we have grown, we have seen hundreds of happy customers including industry professionals raving about Sound Smith products.

I want you to be completely in love with each product you buy from us, and I am confident you will be. We make sure each instrument we sell goes through extensive quality control. We work closely with Larry Spotten a renown master luthier (the Guitar Medic), and he helps to ensure our customers get the best products we can offer.
